The Road To Dreams vs. Decisions
The Road To Dreams vs. Decisions

Greetings,

I’m Anaam & today, I want to dive into a topic that has the potential to either send you on an endless chase of unfulfilled possibilities or take you on the ride of your life. As warriors, we are all about taking pragmatic, sober journeys toward the path laid out for us so let’s consider this topic very carefully.

I want you to think about two words: ‘dreams’ & ‘decisions’.

One of them is an illusion - like a street magician’s trick where you try to guess which cup hides the bead. The other is reality. You’ll hear almost everyone - all those inspirational speakers and motivators - telling you to follow your dreams, follow your passion, chase this and chase that.

But the Toltec Warrior knows better.

Why? Because the warrior, through a lifetime of discipline and impeccability, has honed their awareness to the point where they can cut through all the noise and hone in on what truly serves them. So let the whole world talk about chasing dreams. There’s nothing wrong with that if you want to go for it. But here’s the truth: it’s a dangling carrot.

Think about this. There are nearly 8 billion people on this planet now. How many of those human beings’ dreams have actually come true? Most people will say, “Oh, but most people don’t put in the effort.” ok. What if every single human being took the time and put in effort to follow their dreams - would everyone acienve their dreams? You see…success remains elusive for the vast majority.

Why? Because people follow literally the dream. But what is a dream? A dream is something you have when you’re sleeping. It has nothing to do with reality. You’re following a dream - think about that.

Now let’s shift from to dreams to decisions.

Now, I know your self-importance might be rising up right now. You want to say, “It’s all semantics. Dreams are very important for our soul.” And that’s fine. But let me put it this way: every single dream is made up of tiny little decisions vibrating with energy. I’ll repeat that - every dream a human being has wished to follow is filled with tiny, practical decisions vibrating with energy.

Think about it like this. You see this table right here - it appears solid and real. But we all know it’s made up ultimately of pure energy that expresses itself as increasingly complex physical models. It’s the same thing with dreams. If you really drill down into them, they’re made up of pure energy. The next level of that pure energy is decisions - like the so called ‘atoms’ that make up this table. It’s those millions upon billions of little decisions that the whole dream is made up of.

So don’t chase the dream. It’s like in the movie The Matrix, where Neo tries to bend the spoon, and the bald-headed boy says something profound about not focusing on the physical in front of you but focusing on the energy it’s made of. The warrior knows what to focus on because he can see - not with his eyes, but with his entire body as a seeing mechanism. When you can see that way, nothing will ever put you under a spell, especially not the spell of words that befuddle and blind you.

So remember this: every dream that was ever achieved - winning medals, becoming a superstar, whatever it might be - was made up of tiny little decisions. The more powerful the energy vibrating through those decisions, the more solid and powerful the dream becomes.

My advice to you is to focus on those little decisions that have to be made every second of every day. Now here’s the kicker - the paradox. I’m the first one to insist that each person needs a vision for their life, something to target themselves toward, to learn how to use the power of intent. After that though, you are to focus on those little decisions. Get absolutely clear on what they are. There will be tons of them that have to be repeated every day, all day, for years and years - perhaps for your whole life - for your vision to manifest.

Better get used to it. Better develop the stamina required to make those decisions and act them out again and again. A year goes by, you’re still doing it. Two years, still doing it. A decade, still doing it. Two decades, still doing it. Because each time you decide, consistency builds and accumulates power. Intelligent consistency - consistency that spirals as an evolutionary spiral, so each version is better than its previous self.

When people say they’ve achieved their dream, that’s just a very partial truth. What they have actually done is mastered the art of acting out those little decisions and infusing them with so much energy and power that their vision came to life and became their reality.

So don’t be fooled. Do not chase the dream. Chase those decisions that you need to be making every day.

For example, you want to lose weight. You’re fat and getting sicker & uglier by the day - yes, I said that. What are you going to do about it? You have a vision (hopefully..i.e; if toxic social conditioning hasn't convinced you that fat and sick is ‘in’ these days and perfectly fine) - you want to get slimmer, have healthier skin, have joints that don’t ache, a healthy spine, open hips, a tongue that’s not discoloured. You want to eat healthier. Fine.

What will a warrior do? First of all, a warrior will never be in that position. However, if you’re still struggling with certain issues, I understand. So that vision of losing weight and eating healthy is made up of tiny little decisions you’re going to make every day. Focus on those decisions. Use that vision as a rope to keep pulling yourself toward it, but the actual arm movement you’re doing to pull yourself up that rope is those little decisions.

So put your energy not into the vision - put your energy into the decisions. Get them vibrating with high energy, incredible impeccability, invincible discipline and an unshakable intent. Believe me, as a warrior, we better get used to employing unshakable intent. Get very familiar with how that feels in the body - becoming a person used to employing unshakable intent in each decision throughout the day is a powerful thing indeed!

It has been my good fortune to have been taught by the best of the best in this field - some extremely powerful beings. I can only imagine what I would have been like had I never met and undergone the training with these beings that I’ve had the good fortune to go through.

Anyway,

Walk in freedom.
