If you are searching for something real - beyond the fluff of self-help and the noise of daily life, you have just found your tribe. Today, we are diving into the raw, untamed path of Toltec wisdom, Nagualism and what it truly means to live as a Toltec Warrior.
Let’s cut straight to the chase: Your level of personal power is directly determined by the quality of your awareness.
But here is the twist most people miss..It has everything to do with two simple words: *Ignore* and *Ignorance*.
We all know the definition of ignorance: a lack of knowledge or information. But have you ever stopped to consider that the word ‘ignorance’ comes form the word ‘Ignore’?
- When we ignore something, we actively choose to look away.
- The result of that action? Ignorance of that something.
You cannot claim to be unaware of something you deliberately refused to see. As warriors on the Toltec path, we understand that ignorance is not a passive accident - it is the consequence of a choice…whether conscious or not.
Ignore ignorance. Move towards Knowing.
Every time we choose to switch off our attention - whether to avoid an uncomfortable emotion, a difficult conversation, or a hard truth about oneself - we are planting seeds of ignorance. Over time, that ignorance becomes a wall. And behind that wall? We stop growing.
Awareness is an Action, Not a Theory
In the world of Nagualism and the Toltec path, there is no room for lazy spirituality. You don’t need to trek to the Himalayas or drink strange potions. The entire battle of the warrior is forged inside.
Cultivating awareness is an action. It requires us to be present in each moment.
Ask yourself right now:
- Are you fully here?
- Can you hear the silence in your room?
- Are you aware of your body as you read these words?
This takes practice. It means refusing to ignore what is happening inside you - your fears, your judgments, your patterns - as well as what is happening outside of you.
The result? The more present we become, the more ignorance falls away. Eventually, we arrive at a stage where the ancient axiom - Know Thyself - fully applies to us.
Now, let’s be clear. I am not saying you should never ignore anything. Sometimes, ignoring is the wisest thing to do.
If someone is hurling abuse at you, you don’t have to engage. You can be aware of the insult without putting your attention on it. That is discernment.
Discernment is one of the biggest tools a warrior cultivates. It is the ability to know:
- What to pay attention to.
- What to consciously set aside.
- What requires your action.
Without discernment, we either fall into total ignorance or total chaos. With it, we walk with precision.
The message today is simple:
Stop ignoring your life.
Stop ignoring your body.
Stop ignoring the silence.
Stop ignoring the small voice that tells you when you are off your path.
The quality of your awareness shapes the quality of your existence. And no one can do this work for you. Not a guru. Not a pilgrimage. Not a ritual. Holy books or guides or angels or god figures - no one is involved.
What you do with this little blog is your responsibility but if you feel called to ask questions & hunt for Self Knowledge, do it.
Do not walk in ignorance.
Walk with your eyes wide open.
Walk in freedom.
